Bidding farewell to the SU Blendabilities

Here are another two colour combinations for the NEW stamp set "You've got this" and using some of the NEW inks and cards from the 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! catalogue..  Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe. And the last to complete the set is made with Watermelon wonder and Sky blue.

As you may be aware Stampin' Up! called time on the Blendabilities (alcohol Pens) , due to the inferior product which is good in one respect, because it shows their commitment to excellent products, but sad as we now need to wait to see if they can team up with another manufacturer. I love alcohol pens, so was soooo excited when they announced they were launching them, but as much as i love them the quality was way off the mark.

So as I prepare to return all of mine, I felt I needed to make a farewell card to bid goodbye.

Here it is

The card is made up of some new products which are being released on 2nd Jun and some old faithfuls that are still current.

Colouring done with the retiring Blentabilities.

NEW - Stampset / coloured base card and ink - Sorry you will have to wait until the big reveal to find out what they are.

Check back here after 2nd Jun for the product information.

Thanks for stopping by

Cayleigh May - Cayleigcards.com

Before I show you my creation I would like to answer the questions that have been put before me........

1. What are you working on right now?

I am working on projects for my APRIL/MAY classes, I love teaching new techniques and love how peoples faces light up when they finish a card and in there head i can here them saying " I made that" I am nominating my lovely downline Fiona Harris HERE who has not only been an amazing friend and support to me over the last 7yrs but is becoming a very talented Crafter and Cayleigh MayHERE who is an awsome talent not only crafing but her organisational and business skills are invaluable. Thank you ladies ...

2. How does your work differ from others in your genre?
I dont usually stamp direct on to a card base, so thought i would push myself to show how to make quick cards, I am pretty pleased, I also used a stamp set that i hadnt really liked other than having it for the words, now im like why did i not use that before.

3. Why do you create what you do?
I'm addicted to it Haha! I LOVE IT, I have always been creative, i used to sew ( my mum was a seemstress), i made my two best friends wedding dresses and studied for an interior design degree. When my husband passed away 6 yrs ago it was my therapy, my saviour along with good friends i got thru it and I just cant put it down now.

4. How does your creative process work?
I get a stamp set, and just stamp it onto photo copy paper first then start adding then think Na not right go again and then eventually theres a pile on the floor and the winning fomular on my desk and there it is. I find insperation in magazines and pinterest, you see colours tgthr and go wow that works now let's try it with what i have got...

Now onto my cards which are very spring like you can what ever sentiments you like to these.. i hope you like them.

Crazy about you stamp set - BY Stampin' Up!

Stawberry slush

Daffodil Delght/ Hello Honey

Pink Pirouette /Stawberry slush
Perfect Plum

I made a mask using a the scolloped punch to enable me to stamp the leaves and small flower buds behind the main image. You do this by first stampin the large flower onto the card then placing the scolloped punch out over the top you can then stamp the leaves and medium flowers then add the tiny flower stamp to the leaves.

On the Perfect Plum and Stawberry slush card I added stitch lines around the large flower and on the other two I added the stitch lines around the outside of the cards. I used four colours but you could make them all the same if you wish.

Then Add a greeting of your choice.
